Wilfred Santistevan

Wilfred Leroy Santistevan, 83, of Ranchitos, passed peacefully on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Wilfred was a beloved father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Wilfred worked in the Moly Corp Mine in Questa, NM for many years and later retired from Taos Municipal Schools. He will be forever remembered for his kind blue eyes and his sweet smile.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso and Marcelina Santistevan. Brothers, John (Jones) Santistevan and Tony Santistevan; brother-in-law, Eleuto Maestas; sister-in-law, Josie Cordova. Sons, David Santistevan and Michael Santistevan. He is survived by his lifelong companion, Manuelita Struck. Mother to his children, Clara Garcia. Brother, Larry Santistevan. Sister, Ida Maestas; sister-in-law, Yolanda Santistevan. Children, Patrizia Santistevan (Dennis), Donna Santistevan, Iris Santistevan (Bobby) and Matthew Santistevan (Victoria). Grandchildren, Isaiah Magliozzi (Daniela), Jamie Ronalter (Donny), Amy Avila (Mike), Renee Rivera- Ghelfi (Jerome), Bridgette Rivera- Sanchez (Tim), Desiree Santistevan- Rizzo (Carlos), Geneva Parra (Danny), Sarah Santistevan, Lara Santistevan, Beverlee Cordova (Joseph), Jacob Trujillo, Christian Santistevan- Gil (Drew), Leah Santistevan, Mariah Santistevan and Autumn Sandoval. Along with 23 great- grandchildren and 1 great-great- grandson.

Rosary will be recited at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 7pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Thursday, July 25, 2024; Burial to follow at Sierra Vista Cemetery.
