Wilfred Roybal

Wilfred “Fluff” Roybal age 71, a resident of Albuquerque and formerly of Costilla, passed away unexpectedly October 3, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his grandchildren Nicolas Macias, Katrina Fernandez, Armando Fernandez, Jr. and Donovan Vigil; parents Luis & Mary Ann Roybal; nephew Donovan Vallejos; paternal grandparents Ruperto & Emelia Roybal; and maternal grandparents Modesto & Francisquita Garcia.

Wilfred loved to go fishing, spend time in the mountains and was a great cook.  He enjoyed working on projects with his hands.

He is survived by his children Enrique Roybal, Eugenio Roybal, Anna Roybal, Mashari Roybal, Armando Fernandez, Manuel Fernandez, and Sara Fernandez; 20 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings Lonnie Roybal (Debra), Jana Vallejos (Ray), Marvin Roybal (Rachel) and Karen Martinez; plus many more loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 6pm at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Costilla with the rosary to follow at 7pm.  Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday October 19, 2023 at 10am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Costilla with burial to follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Costilla.
