Lula is now reunited with her husband, Wallace, and daughters Micayla and Jennifer Salazar, who preceded her in death. She was also welcomed into the arms of her biological parents, Edumenio and Ursulita Espinoza, her twin sister Edumenia, and her Uncle Ricardo and Aunt Eliza Cordova, who lovingly raised her; siblings Joe Espinoza (Josie), Juby Espinoza, Tom Espinoza, Oclides Trujillo (Mac), and Becky Berg (Ron).

Born and raised in Taos, New Mexico, Lula spent much of her life in the close-knit community of Los Cordovas. Later in life, she moved to Albuquerque to be closer to her children and continued to create lasting memories with those she loved.
Lula was known for her warm heart and boundless hospitality. She loved cooking and hosting gatherings, filling her home with fresh flowers, especially red roses, laughter, good food, and the company of family and friends. She had a passion for decorating for every holiday, creating a home that was as vibrant and full of life as she was. Lula also had a zest for life that extended beyond her home. She loved to travel, dance, shop, and immerse herself in music and art. Her keen sense of style and love for collecting beautiful things were a reflection of her artistic spirit. Her presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
