Tomas Martinez

Tomas Martinez 82, a resident of Ranchos de Taos, passed away on Saturday July 20, 2019.

He is  preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Feloniz Martinez; siblings, Tillie Romero, Mela Chavez, Felix Martinez, Teofila Trujillo, George Martinez, Benito Martinez and Dolores Herrera.

Tomas was a rancher, woodworker and welder for many years, and was employed by Moly Corp Mine.

He is survived by his children, Liz Karen Chavez (Joseph), Martin Valerio (Jackie), Alfredo Felix Martinez (Winona), Manuel Martinez (Crystal); grandchildren, Adam, Joseph, Andrew and Zachary Chavez; Victoria, Sierra and Hunter Valerio; Dakota and Penelope Martinez; Marissa, Zachary, Kylee and Caleb Martinez; great-grandchildren, Noah, Rowan, Chili and Flora.  He is also survived by his sister, Betty Martinez and special niece Cristina Martinez and numerous other relatives and friends.  The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ofelia Montaño for the loving care and attention she provided during his time of need.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday July 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at San Francisco De Assisi Catholic Church.
