Tomas E Martinez

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tomas Eduardo Martinez.  He was the son of Eduardo and Elma Martinez. Tomas was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and cousin. 

Tomas Eduardo Martinez, age 90, was a resident of Taos, New Mexico.  He passed away after a short illness on April 26, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly; sons Herbie and Matthew; sisters Betty and Gloria; brother Roy and Bobby; he is survived by one sister, Loriz Salazar.

Tomas was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a gun enthusiast, crack shot, enjoyed watching baseball and was engrossed in studying the history of the Southwest, Taos in particular.  Much of his research involved the Don Fernando de Taos Land Grant.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, burial will follow at 1:30pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
