Tim J. Romero

Tim J. Romero 76, a resident of Lower Las Colonias, passed away peacefully August 1, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elias and Agapita Romero; siblings Irene Martinez, Vangie Robinson, Juanita Romero, Gilbert Romero, Michael Romero and Elias Romero, Jr.; and parents-in-law Juan and Mary Valdez.

For many years Tim was employed by Taos County as a Building Official until his retirement.  Tim enjoyed spending time in the outdoors fishing, gardening and wood working.  One of his favorite pastimes was going to casino’s and also enjoyed listening to Spanish music.

Tim is survived by his wife of 54 years Florence Romero; daughters Denise Romero (David) and Renell Romero (Mike); grandchildren Jesse Maestas (Mariah), Jenea Valdez (Daniel), Angelica Rodrigues (Francisco), Jeremy Maestas, Aryanna Rodrigues (James); great-grandchildren Brandi Maestas, Malik Maestas, and Danielle Valdez; brother Ronnie Romero, special nephew Bennie Martinez; sister-in-law Beatrice Medina, plus many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Rosary will be recited on Friday August 12, 2022 at 9:00am, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00am at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church, burial will follow at the Talpa Cemetery.
