Tim J. Martinez

Tim J. Martinez, 74, a resident of Taos, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 6, 2019.  He is preceded in death by his parents Elias and Susana Martinez and many other loving relatives. Tim was an outdoors man, he loved roping and riding his horses, he had an interest in his classic cars, and especially loved being part of the community of Taos. Tim belonged to the Taos County Sheriff's Posse, was on the Holy Cross Hospital Board of Trustees, Kit Carson Electric Board, The Optimist Club, and the Board of Centinel Bank, which he also worked for many years as a Senior Loan Officer. Tim also served his country during the Vietnam War in the US Navy. Tim is survived by his wife Janett Martinez; children, Kristin Martinez-Pettit (Ben), Amanda Combs (Chris), Martika Trujillo-Herrera (Luis), Micah Trujillo (Dana); grandchildren, Marika, Ashley, Marcus, Deven, Kary, Mazzie, Noah, Bria, Jose and Santiago; and one great grandchild Amayha; along with other loving relatives and friends. Memorial Service will be held on Friday December 13, 2019 at 6:00PM in the Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday December 14, 2019 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A meal and celebration of Tim's life will be held after the funeral service at the Juan I Gonzales Agricultural Center.  The family of Tim J.
