Susana Molina

Susana Molina, age 69, a resident of Taos, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2019.

She is preceded in death by her parents Dionicio and Ester Medrano; granddaughter Alexis Vargas; sisters Luz Elena Jimenez and Maria Palacios; niece Anahi Jimenez; brothers-in-law Martin LeDezma and Juan Jimenez.

Susana was a devoted family woman, known in the Taos area as a seamstress and master tamale maker. She and her husband ran an Alterations Boot and Shoe Repair workshop, where she was in charge of sewing and accounts while he repaired shoes.  She was deeply religious, she raised her four children in the Church of the Assembly of God of Taos.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Roberto Molina; loving children Fernando Molina (Amy), Roberto Molina Jr. (Katherine), Monica Molina, Aaron Molina; step-son Aaron Hasselbach; grandchildren Francisco (Alicia Vialpando), Maribel, Anahi-Lucia, Adelina, Ariela, Mikaela, one great-grandchild on the way; and Elijah Chavez who she considered as her son.  Her sisters Gracila Marin, Catalina Barraza (Candido), Virgina LeDezma, Rosa Moreno (Raul “Chito”), Magdalena Vargas (Luis) and many other loving relatives and friends.

Public Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 6, 2019 at the Taos Assembly of God Church with Prayer Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday November 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Taos Assembly of God Church with burial to follow at the Las Cruces Cemetery.
