Sarah Sadie Aguilar, age 75, a resident of Las Trampas passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leroy Aguilar, parents Enrique and Sofia Lopez, brother Raymond Lopez, sister Roselia Vigil, and brother-in-law Ben Vigil who were like second parents to her and father-in-law Anselmo Aguilar.
Sarah was born in Las Trampas, NM and later moved to Tooele, Utah with her parents. She married the love of her life Leroy in Tooele and soon after moved back to Las Trampas. Sarah was a loving and caring person. She gave selflessly to others and always welcomed people into her heart and home. Sarah always worked hard to provide for her family. She worked as an Administrative Manager for the Peñasco Clinic and Truchas Health Clinic for many years and afterward provided care for her mother and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Tammy Castellano (Chris), Beverly Aguilar (Ron), Angela Aguilar (Rudy), Gwendolyn Aguilar (Ted); grandchildren Martin Aguilar (Amy), Marissa Aguilar (Javier), Anthony Baca, Brian Aguilar, Mariah Baca, JD Aguilar, Anthony Naranjo, Brianna Naranjo, Sarah Naranjo and Jordan Naranjo; great-grandchildren Jayden Aguilar and Jerome Leroy Herrera; brothers Virgilio Lopez (Tina) and Pete Lopez; sisters Orlinda Apodaca, Frances Deherrera and Candie Savedra; mother-in-law Oufelia Aguilar; God children Durine, JD, Laura Jean, and Antonio; and many nieces and nephews as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
On Thursday, March 3, 2022, a wake will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the New Fire Assembly Church in Pojoaque. A memorial funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, March 4, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. also at the New Fire Assembly Church in Pojoaque. A burial will take place at the Las Trampas Cemetery with a meal to follow at the Ojo Sarco Fire Department.
Serving as pallbearers are Martin Aguilar, Marissa Aguilar, Brian Aguilar, Mariah Baca, JD Aguilar, Anthony Naranjo, and Anthony Baca. Honorary pallbearers are all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A special thank you to her primary doctor, the Dialysis Center, Del Corazon Hospice Care and to all our family and friends who were here to support us during this difficult time.
