Rudy James Valdez was born May 5, 1967, in Aurora, Colorado passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2024. He resided in Ranchos de Taos, and was a former resident of Chamisal, New Mexico. He was a generous, caring, and loving father, husband, brother, and son. Rudy made friends easily and was always willing to help anyone in need as he saw the world from a different perspective. He was loved by many who crossed paths with him. Rudy successfully owned Taos Farms for over 30 years, alongside his close friend, Lanny Bruder, and ex-wife Elizabeth Lovato. Rudy’s motto was “Another Fine Load” supplying farm eggs to many supermarkets and restaurants in Taos, Espanola, Los Alamos, Pojoaque, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque. After the business closed in 2012, Rudy then became a traveling automobile mechanic in the Taos and Peñasco areas until becoming ill in 2022. His greatest achievement and pride was his son, Zach whom Rudy referred to as his only soldier and the spark that fueled his drive in life. Rudy will be missed by many and the family finds comfort in knowing that he is no longer struggling with illness in his earthly journey.
