Ruben M. Rubito Martinez

Ruben M. “Rubito” Martinez age 74, a resident of Taos, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on February 5, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ruben & Frutosa Martinez; grandson Arturo “Wedo” Suazo; and in-laws Jose L. & Bonnie Cortez.

Ruben is survived by his wife of 56 years Margaret Martinez; children Sharon Martinez, Linda Martinez (Nazario), Matthew Martinez (Raynee), and Damian L. Martinez, who he considered his own; grandchildren Andrew D. Salazar, Isaac Suazo, Ronnie S. Salazar; great-grandchildren Adam and Adrian Salazar; siblings Tony Martinez (Lorraine), Violanda Romo (Albert), Louise Cordova (Alex), Stephanie Rivera who he considered a sister; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Rosary will be recited on Wednesday February 9, 2022 at 6pm at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Arroyo Seco. Mass of Christian burial will be on Thursday February 10, 2022 at 10am at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Arroyo Seco, with burial to follow at the Arroyo Seco Cemetery.
