Reaume Carroll Mulry

d. April 5, 2023

Reaume Carroll Mulry, 83, passed away in his Taos home on April 5, 2023.Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, his kindness will never be forgotten. Ray was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara, parents William and Beulah and lifelong friend Garfield. He is survived by his children: Kelly and Marc, brother William, granddaughter Ashlan and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and patients. Ray’s passion for helping people was clear his entire life and especially evident in his psychology role at the Taos VA through his final years. This job was extremely fulfilling to him and he was successful in helping many veterans get their life back. A true pioneer, Dr. Ray developed Relaxation Therapy in 1976 before anyone else could even define the term. He has authored numerous scientific articles, books and human development programs which all came together in his final works, the Mulry Method. He urged and helped everyone he met to become better versions of themselves. His positive outlook, adventurous spirit, sharp sense of humor, strong work ethic and deep sensitivity will be missed. Anyone that really got to know him has memories of how comfortable he made you feel and his focus on clear communication makes us all better human beings. We are all a little more Relaxed, Balanced, Flexible and Focused because of Dr. Ray. The family will be planning a celebration of life after considerable attention and requests from beloved friends and family. The family of Reaume Carroll Mulry has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos. www.devargastaos.com 1-866-657-4019
