Rafaelita Santistevan

Rafaelita Santistevan age 102, a resident of Lower Las Colonias passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 25, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her husband Felix Santistevan, Sr.; daughter Yvonne Washington; grandson Jesus Santistevan; parents Francisco and Abenancia Esquibel; siblings Dorothy Maestas, Rose Pearson, Mary Rivera, Addie Quintana and Beatrice Mares.

Rafaelita is survived by her children Felix Santistevan, Jr. and Concha Torres (John); grandchildren Greg Santistevan (Jan), Felicia Marconi (Alex), Shawn Torres (Nadine), Leilani Montano (John), Robert Ferry (Lenka); 14 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren; siblings Joe Esquibel, Frank Esquibel, Charlie Esquibel, Gilbert Esquibel (Melinda), Ralph Esquibel (Margaret), Vangie Martinez and Irene Benjie, plus many other loving relatives and cherished friends.

Rosary will be recited on Monday November 2, 2020 at 10:00am in the Evergreen Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos, followed by the Funeral Service. Due to COVID restrictions only 50 people will be allowed to attend, and facemasks are required.  Burial will take place at the Sierra Vista Cemetery.
