Orlando Salazar

Orlando Salazar age 85, a resident of Ranchos de Taos, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his sons George and Timothy Salazar; parents Flavio & Reyesitas Salazar; in-laws George and Manuelita Chavez and brother Agustine Salazar.

Orlando proudly served in the United States Marines, later he worked for many non-profit organizations within Taos County and founded the ARC, now known as Los Angelitos.   He will be greatly missed by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife Sarah Salazar; son Marcos Salazar (Jenn); grandchildren Andrea, Timothy, Shardee, and Nadia Salazar; siblings Angelina Gutierrez (Fidel), Flavio Salazar (Anna Mae), Ted Salazar (Ida), Neddy Salazar (Corine); special in-laws Luca Chavez, Carmela Villafranca, Bettina Pacheco (Manuel), and many other loving relatives and friends.

Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday October 6, 2021 at 6pm in the Evergreen Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos. Rosary will be recited on Thursday October 7, 2021 at 9am followed by the funeral mass at 10am at San Francisco De Asís Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Los Cordovas Cemetery.
