Nathaniel Joseph Isaiah Trujillo

Nathaniel Joseph Isaiah Trujillo, born on September 30, 1996 to Anna Maria Trujillo in San Jose, California, was unexpectedly called home to the stars on December 28, 2024. Nathaniel was a strong, kind, talented, gentle young man with many hopes and dreams. Nathaniel attended culinary school and loved cooking and feeding people. He was also a truly gifted writer and poet, and very skilled in navigating the outdoors thanks to his grandpa Joe’s teachings. He was known by those that loved him for his easy going spirit, forgiving heart, and the protection and care he provided for those around him - especially his younger siblings. He was an 18th generation Taoseño and was both proud and committed to calling Taos his home. 

Nathaniel is preceded in death by his mother Anna Maria Trujillo (d. June 26, 2016), grandfather Joseph Andrew Trujillo (d. October 2, 2024), and many others. He leaves behind his aunt Nicole Elisabeth Trujillo, younger sister Alayna Nicole Kate Romero and younger brother Donovan Eloy Emory Romero, a yet-to-be-born nephew, and many, many relatives and friends. Our family wishes to thank all that surrounded Nathaniel with care and companionship in what would be his final years, and especially the Taos Ward of the Church of Latter Day Saints for welcoming him into their community and fellowship. In place of flowers, Nathaniel’s family and friends would ask you to honor his memory and acknowledge his life by sharing a meal with someone in need, calling a loved one to let them know you are there, and taking the next small step towards the future you want for yourself.
