On October 16, 2022, Moises "Moe" Alarcon Sr. went to be with his heavenly father with a smile of peace on his face. Born in Pueblo, CO, 70 years ago, he retired in Questa, NM, after building for 25 years, DLM, Inc., an environmental remediation firm in Denver, CO. 

He is preceded in death by parents Roberto and Candelaria Alarcon, Siblings Raymond Alarcon, Robert Alarcon, Lupe Herrera, and nieces and nephews. Moe is survived by his spouse of 49 years Diana Alarcon; son Moises Alarcon Jr. (Renee) Alarcon; brother Lonjino (Maria) Alarcon; brother Everette Alarcon; brother Kenner (Sally) Lopes; In-laws - Simon Sr. and Dorothy Gonzales; Karen (Tim) Petersen; Antoinette (Arnold) Rodrigues; Simon Gonzales Jr.; and Valerie (Alan) Brzezinski; Grandson Cruz Moises Alarcon, was welo's most treasured love. Moe said his life was a great one, full and complete, with a great wife, son, and grandson. In Questa, Moe had adventures with his best buddy Jimmy. He enjoyed working around his property and time with family and friends.

Moe was always willing to lend a hand to many, especially seniors in need. He would never charge to help as his heart and gods direction was all he needed. He was able to share his carpentry, electrical, plumbing, irrigation, landscaping skills, or whatever was required to finish a job. He was willing to help others even through his sickness.

Many were asked for words to describe Moe: Exceptional-spouse, Dad, Welo, Humble, Humourous, Workoholic, Animal-lover, Awesome, Advisor, True-friend, Father-figure, Irreplaceable, Caring, Kind, Softy-inside, Perfectionist, Achiever, Giver, Entrepreneur, Believer-of-faith, Storyteller, Full-of-life, Smart, Loved, Selfless, Crazy, Genuine, Go-the-extra-mile, Precious heart, Upfront, Never-sugarcoat, Fun, Unique, MacGyver, Laughing, Honest; Moe was a very loved and special person to many and will be deeply missed.

Moe will be cremated at this time, and a celebration of life will be scheduled in the future. In lieu of flowers for the family, if you are so inclined to do something in Moe's name, please donate to a charity close to your heart, such as Denver Dumb Friends League, American Heart Association, North Questa Food Pantry, Stray Hearts Animal Shelter Taos, or other organizations that are special to you.
