Milton Lee Pease passed away on March 7, 2025 peacefully, with his beloved wife Adelaida "Dide" Pease at his side, in his home in Arroyo Hondo at the age of 84. Lee was born on June 28, 1940 in Arma, Kansas. The Pease family relocated to Yakima, Washington in 1942, where Lee spent his childhood and teenage years.
Lee enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country for 30 years. He traveled the world from onshore posting in Naples, Italy to on ship postings during the Vietnam war. It was during an onshore posting in Albuquerque, New Mexico that he met his future wife Adelaida "Dide" Martinez Rael of Arroyo Hondo. They married on April 12, 1966 and enjoyed a lasting marriage of nearly 59 years.
Lee was promoted and earned an officer's Commission in the Navy, a Masters degree in Business Administration from George Washington University and retired with the rank of Lieutenant Commander in 1989. Upon honorable retirement from the Navy, Lee embarked in a second career working for the State of New Mexico for the Office of the State Engineer/Interstate Stream Commission in Santa Fe until his full retirement in 2005. Lee and Dide moved to Dide's hometown Arroyo Hondo soon after.
Lee led an active life of fishing, skiing, golfing, watching sports, golf, and attending his much-treasured family "Happy Hour" gatherings. He was a devoted father, husband, grandfather, and friend. He is remembered for his loving, kind, and generous nature.
Lee is survived by his wife Dide, their son Tim, his grandchildren Kyle and Jenny, his daughter in law Fanny and stepchildren York and Victoria, his sister Nadine, brothers Dean, Ken and Forrest, and his beloved sister and brothers in law Ellie Smith, Med, Gerald, Fernando and Tony Martinez.
