Michael Eufracio Maestas, 75, passed away quietly in the early morning of December 11, 2023.
Mike always did things on his own terms, so sneaking off to Heaven like a thief in the night without a farewell is just his style. He always hated goodbyes. Mike lived his life with all the cards on the table. He lived in the present, not a care for the future, and he tried to not dwell in the past for long. His motorcycle was named “No Regrets”, the phrase was etched on his arm and echoed in the way he lived his life. Whatever he had, he gave freely, never holding anything back. Mike aka “Blazer” was the friendliest, kindest, most loving, generous, loyal, strongest, and stubborn man. His tough guy image was nothing when it came to how he loved his family and friends.
Michael is preceded in death by his mother and father, Dilia and Benito Maestas; brother, David “Chap” Maestas; daughter and first wife, Maria and Gloria Maestas; and second wife, Susan Santistevan.
He is survived by his children, David Maestas and Marisol Trujillo (Greg); and stepson, Joseph “Guy” Santistevan (Dodie); grandchildren, Ryen Ortega, Zackary Trujillo, Joseph Trujillo, and Shayne Trujillo; sisters, Benita Martinez and Sylvia Gallegos (Fred); nieces and nephews Nina Thompson (Scott), Santiago and Mateo Thompson, Casandra CJ Carrazco, Esteban and Aaron Carrazco; Godson, Marcos Gallegos (Katherine); and his best friend, Keith Randall (Pam).
Family and friends serving as Pallbearers are, Keith Randall, Billy Romero, Esteban Carrazco, Zackary Trujillo, Joseph Trujillo and Fred Gallegos.
