Marshall R. Bailon age 56, a resident of Cerro, passed away unexpectedly March 4, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert Bailon; brother Leroy Bailon; grandparents Elix and Patricia Bailon; Wallace and Elvira Cisneros; and godmother Falco Montoya.
Marshall made his career as an educator, in the Physical Education field working 10 years for the Questa Public Schools and 15 years at Ranchos de Taos Elementary School prior to his retirement. He was also a BLM Park Ranger for a period. He was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan, he loved the outdoors, which included hunting and fishing. He also had a passion for his pets Chloe, Duke, Missy and his sheep.
Marshall is survived by his wife Vilma Bailon; children Ronnie Bailon and Juan Granillo (Jackie); mother Irene Bailon; siblings Ricky Bailon (Donna), Dennis Jaramillo, Vincent Bailon, David Bailon (Michelle); mother-in-law Maria (Inez) Montoya and sister-in-law Helen Valdivia (Francisco), plus many other loving nieces, nephews, godchildren, relatives and friends.
Public visitation will take place on Friday March 6, 2020 at 6:00PM in the Questa High School Gymnasium, followed by the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM in the Questa High School Gymnasium. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday March 7, 2020 at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taos. Burial will follow at the Cerro Catholic Cemetery.
