Majorie L. Gonzales Neddo went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday morning, October 25, 2024. She was surrounded by her family who loved her very much.
She was born on September 25, 1937, in Taos, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernesto and Teresita Gonzales; and her son Vern G. Neddo.
Majorie is survived by her brother Raymond Degodoi Gonzales and sister Roberta Nardico; daughter Michelle Roaque (Crispin); daughter-in-law Beverly Craighead; her grandchildren Stephan Roaque (Jackie), Martin Roaque (Michelle), Rejeana Pacheco (Matthew), Jasmine Neddo and Teanna Neddo; great-grandchildren Audrey and Sienna Roaque, Jocelynn Talavera, Katelynn Neddo and Evelynn Talavera, Caleb and Ariel Pacheco; nieces Tiffany and Crystal Nardico, various aunts and uncles.
Majorie was a very tough woman who did not back down from hard work. Educated and accomplished. She started her teaching career in Oceola, Indiana in the 60’s, then moved back to New Mexico finished going to college at Highlands University to get her teaching degree. She then taught at the Taos Schools for over 40 years. She influenced many people in a positive way. She loved everything regarding English Literature and History. Marjorie was strong, independent and hard-working.
It was her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that carried her through many hardships and illnesses in her life. She always loved singing at church and worshiping her faithful savior. She never hesitated to pray for someone in need.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 10:00am, at Good News Christian Fellowship.
