Leonilia Alice Maestas

Leonilia Alice Maestas age 89, a resident of Talpa, passed away at home peacefully on August 17, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents Benses and Isabel Gonzales of Llano Quemado, NM; her husband Leroy E. Maestas; son Paul L. Maestas; her granddaughters Rose and Marie Maestas; and her grandson Derick Maestas.

She is survived by her children Eltin J. Maestas (Rose) and Jocelyn B. Lucero (Alvin); grandchildren Katrina Romero (Leo), Melissa Mondragon (Juan), Jeanine Vasquez (Richard), and Nicole Maestas; great-grandchildren Ryan Ortiz (Mariana), Kyle Maestas, Kylee Mondragon, Janee Romero, Wil Romero, Jr., Aaron Vasquez, Isabella Vasquez, Jolene Vasquez and Violet Arellano; great-great grandchildren, Izaak Ortiz, Jayden Ortiz, Xavier Ortiz, Anabelle Friere, Jayceon Russell and Justyce Russell.

Serving the family as pallbearers:  Kyle Maestas, Ryan Ortiz, Aaron Vasquez, Edward Gonzales, David Maestas and Michael Gonzales.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 10:00am, at San Francisco de Asís Catholic Church, Ranchos de Taos.   Interment will follow at the New Llano Quemado Cemetery.
