Judith Ann King Anderson

d. July 1, 2022

Judith Ann King Anderson was the first born of Wilbur and Gladys King.  Born in Harlingen, TX into an Air Force family, Judith’s frequent family moves instilled in her a lifelong love of travel.

Judith graduated from Kaiserslautern American High School in 1962 while her father was stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base.  It was not long after that she would meet Major Andy Anderson while working at the base preschool.  The two married in 1963 and their first 10 years together would see them welcoming their 3 children, Kevin, Kjersten, and Trisha.  They would remain lifelong partners for the next 59 years.

A very determined woman, Judith returned to school in her 40s and graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS while still raising her teenaged children.  She was an avid artist who loved putting the beauty she saw in the world onto canvas and in photography.  Later in life she also discovered her talent for jewelry making.

Judith touched many lives through her art, volunteer work, and friendship.  She fell asleep in the Lord on July 1, 2022.  She leaves behind her husband, Andy; her brother Keith King (Marcy) of Ardmore, OK; her three children, Kevin Anderson of Taos, Kjersten Branscome (Dexter) of Franklin, TN, Trisha Ratliff (Rod) of Collierville, TN; 7 grandchildren, Indigo Anderson-Moore, Cassidy Branscome, Trinity Branscome, Gage Branscome, Christina Brunt (Jordan), Jake Ratliff, and Cailyn Ratliff; 2 great grandchildren, Mason & Dylan Brunt.  She also leaves a large loving family of nieces, cousins, and other extended family.  She is preceeded in death by her parents, Wilbur “Bill” & Gladys King, and two brothers, Ronald King and Michael King.

Judith will be interred at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Franklin, TN at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving memorial gifts to: Holy Cross Lutheran Church 204 Spence St. Kerrville, TX 78028 Or St. Andrew Lutheran Church 908 Murfreesboro Rd. Franklin, TN 37064
