Joyce Vigil

Joyce Vigil, loving wife of Henry Vigil, passed away peacefully surround by her family on Saturday October 29, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her sons Jeremy and Matthew Vigil; parents Leonardo “Lalo” and Bertha Romero; sister Edna Romero, brother Michael Romero; parents-in-law Juan and Teodora Vigil; brothers-in-law Roy and Teofileo Vigil; and godson Paul Vigil.

Joyce is survived by her children Daniel Vigil (Marlene), Ruben Vigil (Antonia), Melody Vigil-Gurule (Edward), Edna Vigil; grandchildren Misty Martinez (Carlos), Monique Martinez (Calvin Smith), Geri Faith Vigil (Omar Marquez), Amelia Vigil (Daya Tapia), Jorja Torres, Jeremy Vigil and Jazzlynn White; two great-grandchildren Marcus and Santiago Martinez; siblings Edith Romero, Suzanne Valerio (Michael), Robert Romero (Eileen), David Romero (Christa) and Amy Pacheco (Ramon); brothers and sisters-in-law Dolores Cata, Esther Cordova (John), Roland Vigil, Rachel Trujillo (Bernie), Rose Maestas (Eltin), Patsy Kittredge, Kathy Appel (John), Anthony Vigil and Raylene Casias, and many other relatives and friends.

Prayer Service will be held on Monday November 14, 2022 at 11:00am at the Ranchos Presbyterian Church, in Ranchos de Taos, NM.  A meal in her honor will follow at the Llano Quemado Community Center.
