Joy Bell King was a loving wife, mother, and friend of many. She fought a long battle with cancer and won her race on Thursday, January 18th at 7am.
She was born Joy Colleen Bell to Austin and Emily Bell on May 15th, 1961 in Denver, Colorado. She met her husband Kenneth Michael King while at seminary in Tulsa, Oklahoma and they were wed on February 13th, 1982. Together they have four children: Benjamin, Joseph, Jessica, and Arielle. Joy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son Joseph.
Joy was aptly named and all those who knew her can attest to her unwavering faith, contagious joy, and deep love for Jesus. If there is anything she would have liked to be remembered for, it’s that her life was a testament to the goodness of God.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 3pm on Sunday, January 28th at Faith Mountain Fellowship Church on 100 Copper King Trail in Red River, NM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to organizations dear to her heart: vostambien.org or Faith Mountain Fellowship Church.
The family of Joy Bell King has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos. 866-657-4019 www.devargastaos.com
