Josephine Romero

Josephine Romero peacefully went to our Lord in Heaven on Thursday January 12, 2023, at the age of 90 with her family by her side.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jim Romero; son James Romero and daughter Donna Archuleta; infant child Betty Romero; parents Eugenio and Clarita Sena; parents-in-law Virginia T. and Jose de la Cruz Romero; sisters Martha and Eli Gonzales, Virginia and Eloiso Tafoya; Brothers Phill Sena, Clarence Sena, Avelio Sena; Sisters and brothers-in-law Marina Sauzo, Rose Skinner, Feliann Valles, Catherine Romero, Lillian Romero, Teri Daly, Paul Romero, Tony Romero, Dan Daly, and Ralph Skinner; grandson Johnny Martinez Jr.; and nephew Buck Romero.

Mrs. Romero is survived by her daughters and sons: Eleanor and Earl Gutierrez, Charlene and Areli Gonzales, Annabell Martinez; brothers and sisters: Angelino Romero, Clyde and Marie Romero, Josephine Rhona, Viola Romero; godson Danny Daly; grandchildren: Janice and Shaun Abeyta, Loriann Gonzales, Sasha and Nathan Hamilton, Nicholas and Megan Martinez, Megan B. Martinez and Jake Mascarenas, James Archuleta, Jamie Martinez & Jesus, Justin Archuleta, Mikey Martinez, and Al Jimmy Gonzales; great-grandchildren: Natasha Abeyta & Marcos Andrade, Chris Abeyta, and Nicki Gallegos, Josephine Huesers and Gabriel Little, Violet Huesers and Jermey Huesers, Toby Martinez, Patrick Martinez, Mario Valerio, Tilo Valerio, Lily Mascarenas; great-great grandchildren: Mariah Gutierrez, Hope Gutierrez, Jordan Casias, Nathan Hamilton Jr., Aaliyah Hamilton, Cameron Abeyta, Giovanni Andrade, and many other beloved nephews, nieces, and friends.

Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 5pm, rosary will follow at 6pm at San Francisco de Asís Catholic Church.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 10:00am at San Francisco de Asís Catholic Church, interment will follow at 2:30pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
