Jose C. Rodriguez

Jose Claudio Rodriguez 86, a resident of Peñasco, NM passed away April 13, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents Epolito & Eloisa M. Rodriguez; in-laws Eufracio & Eloisa T. Maestas; siblings Fred, Herbert, Jose Maria Rodriguez, Floraida R. Martinez, Octavianita Rodriguez and Juanita Rodriguez.

Jose was a veteran of the United States Army, serving 2 years as a PVT E1, Personnel Specialist, and was a teacher with the Mora Independent Schools and the Peñasco Independent Schools, until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Maria Ruth Rodriguez; sister Angela R. Lopez; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 11:00am at San Antonio de Padua Catholic church in Peñasco, burial will follow at 2:00pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
