John Valade

John Valade age 77, a resident of El Prado, passed away June 4, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his mother Jeanette Potvin and brother Leo Valade.

John is survived by his wife Carol.

John was born July 3, 1944 in Saco, Maine.  He grew up in Boston and Holbrook, Massachusetts.  He graduated from Holbrook High School in 1963.  John enlisted in the U.S. Navy and completed technical training at Great Lakes, IL.  He was assigned to the USS Bowditch, an oceanographic survey ship and served as an Electronics Technician.  Once discharged, he was recruited by Honeywell.  John worked as an I/T Communications Specialist for Honeywell, Pillsbury, Fred Meyer and Kroger.  He retired in 2003 and he and Carol moved to Taos, NM.

John loved woodworking and reading about history and science.  He was a true animal lover and welcomed every stray that his wife brought home.  John touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed.
