Joe “J.E.” Silva age 83, a resident of El Prado, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 16, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alberto and Mercedes Silva; brothers Albert and Tommy Silva; sisters Rose Marie Saultlet and Irene Silva; grandparents Tranquilio and Francesquita Cintas.
Joe was a family man with a strong work ethic and hard-working values. As a young adult he created and operated his own successful construction company. Being the leader that he was, one would often see him working at job sites with his work personnel. He loved his family dearly and always encouraged them to be ambitious.
He is survived by his wife Vicki Silva; children Joey Silva (Cynthia), Michael Silva (Audrey), Sonya Silva-Baca (Del Ray), Jason Silva (Monica); grandchildren Miguel Silva, Victoria Silva, Veronica Silva, Antonio Silva, Daniela Christina Silva-Sisneros (Joshua), Gabriela Silva-Calhoun (Peter), Sofia Silva, Alejandro Silva, Brian Silva-Baca, Michael Silva-Baca, Mark Peralta-Silva (Megan), Matthew Silva (Ashley), David Silva, Jayson Silva; great-grandchildren Brianna Silva-Baca, Adalyn Sisneros and Amalia Calhoun; primo hermano Jose L. Silva (Beatrice); siblings Frances Chavez (Andrew), Mercy Torres (Delfinio), Ida Silva, Bernice Silva (Joe Mike Duran), Darla Marie Wilson (Leo), Yvette Mondragon (Joe), Lester Silva (Nancy), Terry Silva, Anna Silva; close family friends Victor and Clara Mendiola; plus many other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Rosary will be recited on Monday February 24, 2020 at 6:00PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday February 25, 2020 at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Los Cordovas Cemetery.
