Joanne Theresa Guinn

Joanne Theresa Guinn 71, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away unexpectedly while in Taos on January 31, 2025

She was preceded in death by her infant son Dieter Theis; parents Edward and Clair Theis; and sister Jane Theis.

Joanne was an educational assistant for many years at Truman Middle School in Albuquerque. She loved animals, especially for her dogs. 

Joanne is survived by her children Penny Schlies (Joseph) and Erik Schlies; grandchildren Brandon Williams, James Williams, Heaven Williams and Jennifer Williams; siblings Janet Martin (Gary) and Judy Schuster (Tim); plus many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. 

Cremation arrangements have been made.
