Joan Solano, 62, a resident of Albuquerque but a frequent visitor of Taos and Angel Fire passed away unexpectedly on Saturday July 4, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Elizabeth Mann; and sister Madeline Hill. Joan and her family loved visiting the mountains of Northern New Mexico, frequently visiting Taos and Angel Fire. She was a very caring and lovable lady who was the heart, soul and the glue of her loving family. She had a way to bring everyone together and lived life to its fullest. She was always someone’s best friend. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Cipriano Solano; her son’s, Cipriano Jr (Victoria), Josh (Angela) and Isaac Solano; grandchildren, David (Kelsi), Jesse (Danyon), Sarah, Jada, Rafael, Cipi, Biolanda, Devin, Cameron, Damian, Marcos, and Monique Solano; great grandchildren, Jayden Solano and Joshua Huffman; siblings, Don Mann, Eddy Mann and Frances Balizan; along with many nieces, nephews, loving relatives and cherished friends.
Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday July 14, 2020 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos with burial to follow at 2:00PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance will be limited to 50 people and face masks are required.
