Jean L. Hitchcock

Jean Laurance Hitchcock, 95, of El Prado, NM passed away on the morning of August 29,2020.  She passed away peacefully with her family close by.

Born May 24, 1925 in San Bernardino, CA and was preceded in death by her parents Bert and Lessie Laurance; loving husband Donald J. Hitchcock; sister Berta and loving friend and confidant Barbara Martinez.

She is survived by her daughters Judy Hitchcock, Barbara Hitchcock, son James Hitchcock; grandsons Samuel, Jacob, James and Luke Hitchcock, and David Thompson, 5 great-grandchildren, and nieces Denise Law and Jan Burns.

Having lost her husband and traveling extensively, Jean came to Taos many years ago and loved the beauty and people of this land.  She loved to go out and be amongst the people of this town in all kinds of ways and sampling the great food Taos has to offer.  Patron of the arts, land developer, among other things, Jean will be missed by many.  Special thanks go out to Jean’s loving caregivers Barbara, Giovana, Marlene, Dorothy, Cindy, and Vanessa.

Due to current circumstances, a Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
