Jacobo Richard Dominguez, age 59, and a lifelong resident of Chamisal, NM, went to be with the lord on Thursday, April 11, 2024. Jacobo was a beloved brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Jacobo graduated from Penasco High School and went on to attend Northern New Mexico Community College where he earned his associate degree in Machining and Auto mechanics. He was a hard worker. He worked for JCI, Mica, KSL, he also went to work in Colorado for a brief time where he picked potatoes. He worked for a brief time working on the train tracks for the Railrunner. Jacobo was sociable, he would strike up a conversation with anyone he would meet. He would help those in need. Jacobo enjoyed spending his time gardening, working on his cars, fishing, hanging out with friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Jacobo Dominguez, mother Lydia Dominguez, his sister Florie Dominguez, grandmother Anita Dominguez, his grandfather Juan Ramon Sandoval, grandmother Lioneres Sandoval, great-grandparents Jacobo Dominguez and Gomesinda Dominguez, great-grandparents Ramon and Lucinda Sandoval and Jose Maria and Ramoncita Maestas, uncles Levi Martinez, Elmer Dominguez, Paul Dominguez, Samuel Dominguez, Joe Alex and Juan Sandoval, great uncles Theodoro (Lugarda), Juan Pio, Nick, Don, Tony, Eloy, and Narciso Sandoval, great-aunts Amelia (Sebedeo) Rodriguez, Mary Gutierrez, Cora Archuleta, and Beatrice (Frank) Pacheco, cousins Joseph Martinez, Thomas Cantou, Wayne and Milton Sandoval and Ezequiel Dominguez. He is survived by his brother Dean (Erica), his sisters Marilyn, Sharon, and Lorraine Dominguez, his aunts Helen Sandoval and Ramona (Tommy) Cantou, Marie (Fred) Medina, his nephews Jacobo, Philly, Mason, and Dustin, his nieces Katelyn and Ariel; and many other relatives and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Levi Martinez, Juan Dominguez, Samuel Dominguez, Elmer Medina, Jeffrey Medina, Philly Sanchez, and Jacobo Dominguez; Serving as honorary pallbearers are Katelyn, Ariel, Mason and Dustin Dominguez.
A recitation of the rosary will begin at 7:00 PM, on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church in Penasco. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM, also in Penasco at the Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Chamisal Cemetery.
