Henry Fernandez

Henry “Nene” Fernandez, 80 of Ranchos de Taos born August 13, 1942, passed away unexpectedly July 13, 2023.  He is preceded in death by his father Jose de La Luz Fernandez and mother Sebriana Fernandez and siblings Jeff Fernandez, Jake Mascarenas and Manuelita Esquibel and brothers-in-law Claude Esquibel and Reggie Archuleta and sisters-in-law Cecilia Fernandez and Sally Mascarenas.  He is survived by his sister Maria (Vice) Archuleta, nieces and nephews Ramona Fernandez, Mary Sisneros, Mike Fernandez (Louise Fernandez) and Manuel Esquibel (Julianna Matz).  Nene is also survived by great-nephews Michael Fernandez (Maria), Bryan Fernandez (Sierra), Anthony Fernandez, John Esquibel and Jack Esquibel and great-great nephews and nieces Josh Casados (Liz) and Kayla and Michael Fernandez and now Azalia and Anaya Fernandez, and Miguel and Andres Casados.

Henry worked in the grocery stores in Taos for 40 years.  He loved to go to the casinos, and you could count on Henry walking laps around everyone at the Eco Park walking every morning. 

Rosary will be recited on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 9:00am, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00am, at San Francisco de Asís Catholic Church.  Burial will follow at the St. Francis Cemetery in Ranchos de Taos.
