Gus Fernandez

Gus Fernandez, age 60, a resident of Taos, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gustavo S. and Teodora R. Fernandez, baby sister Marian Fernandez, paternal grandparents, Luis and Petra Fernandez, maternal grandparents, Juan V. and Solidea Romero, and God parents, Eloy and Irene Trujillo. Gus proudly served in the U. S. Army and is a proud member and brother of the Knights of Columbus. Gus had a special talent and was a master at concrete work. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing but especially spending time with his basset hounds. Gus is survived by his son, Isaac Garcia (Vanessa); siblings, Alice Chacon, Patrick Fernandez, Marian Chambellan (Curtis), Theresa Pacheco (Rudy), and John Fernandez (Audrey); plus, many nieces, nephews, relatives, and brothers from the Knights of Columbus.

Rosary will be recited on Friday October 22, 2021 at 9:00am, funeral mass will follow at 10:00am at San Francisco de Asís Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Jesus Nazareno Cemetery.
