Geneva Romero

Geneva Sisco Romero 75, a resident of Ranchos de Taos, passed away on August 28, 2024. She was born in Talpa on November 20, 1948.

She was preceded in death by her parents Pete & Reyes Sisco; brother Robert Sisco; nephews Robert “Beto” Sisco and Levi Salazar. 

Geneva is survived by her children Peter Romero and Dominic Romero (Cathy); sister Patsy Salazar (Juan) and sister-in-law Dolores Sisco; grandkids Patrick Romero, Holly Romero, Gabriella Jeantete-Romero, Santasha Jeantete-Casias and Mikayla Valencia; great-grandkids Alexis Romero, Patrick “little Pat” Romero, Leroy Twito, Nathaniel Twito, Jerimiah Twito and Donovan Twito; best friend Flora Archuleta, special nephew Albert “gordo” Sisco and many other relatives and friends.

Through the duration of her life Geneva worked at the Tortilla Factory in Peñasco, Kachina Lodge and El Taoseño Restaurant in Taos. She enjoyed socializing with her coworkers and the customers. Geneva had a love for the outdoors and liked going camping and fishing with her sister Patsy, brother-in-law Juan and the rest of her family. Geneva’s two sons and family were her whole world. She loved hanging out with them at social events and at home. Geneva had a contagious laughter that would fill a room with joy. 

The Romero/Sisco family has made private arrangements for burial. The family would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts, prayers and support.
