Francisco Carlos Martinez

Francisco Carlos Martinez “El Lechero” was born July 16, 1940 to Beatrice Trujillo and Felix Martinez. He was raised in Ranchitos where he peacefully passed away, surrounded by family, on Sunday morning, February 19^th, 2023. He was well known in the Taos community as a musical entertainer and food salesman for many years. He had an uncanny ability to paint a picture with words and had a smile and presence that will never be forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, stepfather Marcelino Ortega, siblings, Ruth Martinez and Patrick Finn and son Carlos Martinez Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda Chea; children Matthew Martinez (Armida), David Martinez (Christine), Derrick Martinez (Suzanne), Maria Martinez, Tomas Martinez (Logan), Santiago Kusher and stepdaughter Leah Chea; grandchildren Ashley, Tania, Brissa (Chris), Vanessa, Julie, Derrick, Alina, Sarah, Azalea and step-grandchildren Lyndsey (Anthony), Leo (Iliana), Brian; and great grandchildren Zoe, Corey, Bentley, Orion, Evangeline, Mario, and great step-grandchildren Kane and Aria.

Services will be held on March 11^th, 2023 at 10am in the Evergreen Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos, with a burial to be held at the Pacheco Cemetery.
