Fernando A. Tafoya

Fernando Angelo Tafoya passed away on January 5, 2022 at home in Taos, New Mexico, he was 86 years old.

Angelo, as he was known, was a kind and loving man who enjoyed listening to jazz and watching game shows with his wife. He was much admired for his quiet strength by his family.  He was a veteran and a small business owner. He ran Taos Typewriting Service for many years in Cañon. Before computers became commonplace local writers counted on him for purchases and repairs as well as many local and surrounding school districts.

Angelo is survived by his wife, Kate; her sons, Marcos Martinez and Ralph Romero; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. From his first marriage he is survived by his son, Robert Tafoya and daughter Glenda Tafoya; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson, all from Denver, CO.

Additionally, there are two surviving sisters, Geraldine Martinez and Lillian Gonzalez, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Private Family services will be held.
