Encarnacion "Shon" Mascarenas

Encarnacion “Shon” Mascarenas age 91, a resident of Cerro, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 24, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his wife Martha Mascarenas; parents Max and Candelaria Mascarenas; siblings Max Mascarenas, Jr., Alberto Mascarenas, Lucy Espinoza, and Christina Sanchez.

Encarnacion served his country in the U.S. Army and was a very proud Korean War Veteran.  He worked for many years at the Moly Corp Mine and loved to work on automobiles, he was a great mechanic.

He is survived by his children Pauline Herrera (Amos), Joseph Mascarenas (Flora), Jerome Mascarenas; grandchildren David, Gabriel, Stephen and Daniel Herrera; and Adrian Mascarenas; step-granddaughter Brittany Gabriel; siblings Sista Quintana (Salomon), Elsie Quintana; companion Viola Williams, plus many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Private Family Services will be held and burial will follow at the Cerro Cemetery.
