David P. Vargas

David P. Vargas, age 68, a resident of Taos, passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Vargas; parents, Felix and Eduvigen Vargas; his brother, Timmy Vargas, and parents-in-law, Palemon and Ofelia Mondragon and brother in-law Pedro Chavez. David proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the U.S. Forest Service and he also worked for Rivera Hanlon and Garcia Funeral Homes.   David is survived by his daughters, Paula Vargas, and Maya Vargas (David Vigil), granddaughter, Aubrey Rae Christine Vigil; his siblings, LeRoy Vargas, Kathy Ortiz, Debbie Martinez, Antonio Vargas, Felicia Sabaugh (Don), Pat Mondragon (Molly), Gia Mondragon (Joann), Porfiria Chavez, Larry Mondragon (Yolanda), Delia Jordan (Jim), Pauline Trujillo, plus many other loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.  Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday July 6, 2022, at 1pm in the Evergreen Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos, interment will be held at a later date at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
