David G. Koziol, age 58, resident of Taos, New Mexico, transitioned from this life on September 9, 2020. David had been ill with cancer for quite some time but had handled his illness with his usual patience and positivity. David had an unending love for all his family and friends, especially his sweet wife Julianne Ardemagni and he was proud to call Julianne’s children, Rhyanne and Dylenn Ramirez, his own. He was also a new Grandpa to Dean Mark. David had a very special place in his heart for his dogs and his drum kit. Known by the community as Drummer Dave, he displayed his love for music through his talent for playing virtually any kind of drums and genres of music, his favorite styles being hard rock and the blues. Born into the Hoopa tribe, David had an innate love for all that Mother Earth offers and he always embraced his Native roots. He would often describe his personal encounters with “a little critter” that he had relocated to a fruit tree or talk about the “magnificence of Creator’s palette and colors”. Mitakuye Oyasin (All Our Relations) he would remind us. David had a passionate concern for the health of the planet, but always kept a positive attitude and did not judge others. David Koziol was a special human being and many people have been honored and fortunate to meet him in this life. His kindness and sweet spirit will always be remembered, and Dave will be very missed by his family and friends. The family of David G. Koziol has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos. www.devargastaos.com 1-866-657-4019
