David “Roy” Lucero age 57, a resident of Albuquerque and Taos, passed away unexpectedly January 30, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his father Luis Lucero; brother Paul Lucero; paternal grandparents Sam and Clorinda Lucero; maternal grandparents Alejandro and Maclovia Valdez; aunt Neoma Martinez; and uncles Antonio P. Valdez and Patricio Lucero.
Roy was a kind and gentle man, who was a Master Mixologist / Bartender, and truly loved what he did. He was also a great wood craftsman and loved to travel. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his mother Mercy Lucero; siblings Dorothy Small (David), Brenda Cruz (Mark), Patricia English (David), Louise Molinar (Marco), and Mark Lucero (Carmen); sister-in-law Mae Lucero; nieces and nephews Caroline Sierra (Matthew), Luis Lucero, Isaac Cruz, Eric Cruz, Sarah English, Evan English, Christina Molinar, Mark Lucero, Jr., Alejandro Lucero; great-nieces and nephew Maliah, Mariah and Matthew, and many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
Rosary will be recited on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 6pm. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 10am, both held at Holy Trinity Catholic church in Arroyo Seco, burial will follow at the Valdez Cemetery.
