David E. Leon

David “Tiger” Leon age 63, a resident of Cerro, passed away peacefully November 17, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his mother Rebecca Leon; two infant brothers; and mother-in-law Juanita Martinez.

David proudly served his country in the United States Army, later he retired from the National Guard.  He also worked as a security guard for many years at Chevron Mine in Questa.  David loved spending time in the outdoors, especially fishing.

He is survived by his wife Marbella M. Leon; daughters Rebecca Leon (Marco) and Amy Leon (Amellio); grandchildren Marco Elizondo, Nyellie Elizondo, Mateo Elizondo and Amayah Quintana; sisters Dorothy Aguilar (Piffie), Evelyn Avila (Dale), Anita Martinez (Roque), Flora Mascarenas (Joseph); his father Epimenio Leon; father-in-law Romulo Martinez, plus many other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday November 22, 2022 at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Cerro, with burial to follow at the Cerro Cemetery.
