Daniel Brian (RYNO) Herrera 51, resident of Arroyo Hondo, was called to rest on February 24th of 2025, due to a brief illness. Daniel did many things in his life, but his biggest joy was his family and working in the garage with his dad. He had a deep connection with his culture, traditions, and the river. Although his time was brief, he always lived life to the fullest, he will be dearly missed by many in the community. He was an active member of the Arroyo Hondo Community Association, Repurposing Plastic, Watershed Way, a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic church, and a Peregrino. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Ruben and Erlinda Herrera, and Olivia Lucero and Alfredo Lucero Sr.; Uncle Ruben Herrera Jr., Aunt Lydia Herrera, Uncle Alfred (Duno) Lucero, Wilfred Lucero, Chuck Jeantete; Cousins Jose Romero, Viento and Andrea Herrera; Sisters-in-law, Michelle Abeyta and Ashley Alire.
He is survived by his wife Audra Abeyta-Herrera; Children Daniel, Dazza, Bridgette, Jared, Emily, and Savannah; Grand Children Alonzo, Aalijah, and Madelyn Rose; Parents Dan (best Friend) and Mildred Herrera; Sister Michelle Cordova (Eduardo); Niece Santana (Lorenzo), Nephews Angelo (Ashley), Enrique Herrera and Damian Cordova; In-laws Leroy Abeyta and Loyda Lopez; Grandmother Maria Lopez; Great-nephews Jordan, Messiah, Angelo, and Rudy; Brother-in-law Lorenzo; Godparents Sixto & Sylvia Duran; Goddaughter Raelynn Aguilar-Jacobs; Aunts and Uncles Larry & Kathleen Herrera. Rosary will be recited on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 6pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic church in Arroyo Hondo. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 10am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic church, with burial to follow at the Upper Arroyo Hondo Cemetery.
