Christopher Matthew Cardenas 12/4/1984 – 02/09/2025 

Christopher, 40 yr old Resident of Taos/Ranchos de Taos, Passed away unexpectedly on February 9th. A loving Son, Brother, and Uncle. He was a kind & gentle heart who loved his Friends and Family in the community of Taos and beyond. His Nieces and Nephews were the Pride and Joy of his life, He loved his babies. His family & friends meant everything to him. You didn’t stay friends for long, he turned you into family pretty quickly. He was a lovable warm person. Christopher had many dreams he wanted to accomplish. Music was his passion, he aspired to work in the music industry since he was young. He loved cruising and listening to music, that was his happy place. He loved animals, especially His Sophie, she was no dog, she was his baby.

He is preceded in death by Grandparents Juan & Lena DeVargas, Norbert Cardenas, Diane Williams; Uncles Albert & Victor DeVargas, Aunt Anna DeVargas Garcia; God Parents Jesse DeVargas & Joella Coca, God Sisters Andrea Herrera, & Melissa DeVargas. 

He is survived by his Mother, Elena DeVargas Williams, Dad, Jimmy Williams, Father Chris Cardenas; Grandmother Josie Cardenas, Grandfather Billy Williams; 

Sister Tamara (Chris) Velasquez, Nieces/nephew, Emmalena, Aviana, Chris Jr. 

Brother John (Victoria) Williams, Nephews/Niece Lance, Logan, Layla 

Brother Joshua Williams; As well as, Many Loving Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, God Brothers & Sisters.

Rosary will be recited on Saturday, March 8th, 2025 at 9:00am, Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00am, held at San Francisco de Asís Catholic church, burial to follow at Pacheco cemetery.
