Cecilia Dora Tafoya

Cecilia Dora Tafoya 88, a resident of El Prado, NM, passed away August 2, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents David & Cira Martinez; daughter Annette Gonzalez; sisters Teodora (Teddy) Vigil, Adelina Dina McKnight; infant sister Susan; brothers Eloy, Roman, Toby, Ruben, Patricio, Flavio and infant brother David Martinez.

Cecilia is survived by her children Darlene Trujillo (Nick), Susan Martinez, Michele Varos (Kenny), Johnny Tafoya and Veronica Anderson; sister Trinidad (Trinnie) Apodaca (Joseph); grandchildren whom she was especially close with, Nora Martinez, Rhonda Tafoya, Alexandra Varos and Ashlynn Sanchez, followed by James Trujillo (Alicia), Amy Romo (Miguel), Cassandra Romero, Bonnie, MiLinda, Breanna and Jacob Tafoya; great-grandchildren Lorenzo Martinez, Damien, Aaron and Atreyo Romero, Juan Montoya, Miguel Romo; great-great grandchildren Isabella Martinez, Odelia and Jace.

Rosary will be recited on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 7:00pm, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Dolores Cemetery.
