Augustine J. Mondragon, II

Augustine Jesus Mondragon, II, age 15, a resident of Taos, NM, passed away June 8, 2024. 

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Joe & Bibiana Gonzales, Celina & Selso Martinez, and Eloy & Binda Vigil; grandparents Joyce Martinez and Geneva Vigil; uncles Joaquin Martinez and Samuel Martinez. 

Augustine loved to ski, fish, be outdoors, spend time with his family, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.  He loved playing video games and liked to cook.   Augustine had a genuine smile.  He will be truly missed.

He is survived by his mom and dad Renetta & Augustine Mondragon; sisters Andrea Cardenas (Sergio), Lucia Mondragon (Patrick) and Marie Mondragon (Zak); nieces and nephews, Sergio Santiago, Analise, Isabella, Abigail, Mateo and MariEllie; grandparents Gilbert & Arlene Mondragon and Michael Martinez; Nino & Nina Donovan & Elisia Mascarenas; aunts & uncles Carla Martinez, Michael Martinez (Darcie), Selso Martinez, Eloy Mondragon, Julian Mondragon (Amanda), Paul Mondragon (Ambrosia), Ariana Gaultney (Wesley), and many cousins. 

Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 10:00am, followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 11:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church.  Burial will follow at the Dolores Cemetery in Cañon.
