Arturo Casias

Arturo Casias 64, a resident of Ranchos de Taos, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on October 21, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents Delubino and Anita Casias; brother Delubino “Tuti” Casias; sister Frances Casias; grandparents Celia & Demetrio Trujillo and Senovia & Delubino Casias; many aunts, uncles, and relatives.

Arturo worked for 50 years as a Taos News paper vendor.  He loved selling the newspaper, often, he personally delivered the paper to peoples’ home.  After his retirement, he looked forward to going back to work.  Arturo loved the outdoors, fishing, casinos, and cruising the roads of Northern NM.

He is survived by his loving companion Darlene Gutierrez; sisters Diana Martinez (Reynaldo), Darlene Montoya (Mario), Terecita Casias, Mary Ann Casias, Carla J. Casias, Senovia Casias (Donald), Melanie Casias (Gregorio); godson Augustine Andujo; plus many other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Rosary will be recited on Friday October 28, 2022 at 9:00am, Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00am at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church, with burial to follow at the Jesus Nazareno Cemetery.
