Antonio Cordova age 67, a resident of Questa, passed away peacefully, yet unexpectedly, surrounded by his loving family on January 1, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jose and Marina Cordova; siblings Loretta Mondragon, Josie Cordova, Ted Cordova, Peggy Struck; nephew Benito Mondragon and niece Anna Marie Gonzales.
Antonio proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was always willing to help people in their time of need as a substance abuse counselor. Antonio was also employed by the U.S. Forest Service as a Wildland Firefighter.
He is survived by his sisters Martha Romero and her husband Trankie and Cecilia Martinez; goddaughter Nicole Tafoya and godson Trankie Romero, plus many other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Rosary will be recited on Friday January 10, 2020 at 6:00PM in the Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday January 11, 2020 at 11:00AM at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Questa, with the burial to follow at the San Pedro Cemetery.
