Anthoni Payne

d. December 1, 2024

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Anthoni Lawrence Payne on November 25, 2024, at the age of 21. Anthoni was a beloved father, fiancé, son, brother, and friend. He brought light and laughter into the lives of everyone who knew him and will be deeply missed.

Anthoni was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. From a young age, he lived life with compassion and heart. Anthoni displayed natural and incredible athletic talent and was a tough football competitor, which he loved dearly. It was once his dream to take his craft to the next level and eventually play professionally. His backup plan was to become a firefighter and work alongside his paramedic father. As he grew older, Anthoni discovered a true passion for serving others through cooking, which became a central part of his life. He worked tirelessly toward becoming a chef while striving to provide a generous life for his family.

Above all, Anthoni became a dedicated and loving father to his 11-month-old son, Jereamiah, and a devoted fiancé to Nadia. His family was the center of his world, and he embraced fatherhood with pride and unwavering love. Despite facing challenges, including his journey through addiction and sobriety, Anthoni was determined to create a better life for his loved ones. His powerful and exciting personality, kind heart, and ability to bring a smile to your face will be remembered by all who were fortunate to know him.

Anthoni is survived by his fiancé Nadia, his son Jereamiah, his mother Leanna Shaw, his father Fred Payne III, his sister Alexis, his brothers Marcos and Jordan, and many loving family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held on December 12, 2024, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Daniels Family Carlisle Chapel, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. All who knew and loved Anthoni are invited to come together to honor his life and cherish the memories he created.

Instead of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to assist with funeral expenses and to support his fiancée and son during this difficult time. Contributions can be made through the family’s GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/fe10bdd3.
