Andrew W. Abasta, Sr.

Andrew William Abasta, Sr. age 63, a resident of Taos passed away April 9, 2025

He was preceded in death by his mother Flora Aguilar, father Joe Abasta; siblings Frankie Abasta, Jennie Abasta, Steven Abasta, Trinidad Joseph Abasta; and great-nephew Joseph Michael Gonzales.

Andrew was a woodworker/carpenter. He was a biggest Raider’s fan, he loved comedy and making people laugh. His happiest moments were when he was with family.

He is survived by his children, Gabriel Abasta (Sandra), Michael Anthony Comacho, Chris Abasta (Sharon Garcia) and Candice Abasta; grandchildren, Chelsea Abasta, Moriah Abasta, Andy Abasta, Gabriel Gaitan, Isaiah Garcia, Jeremiah Garcia, Aaliyah Montoya, Kai Abasta, Seveah Hamilton and Bodhi Abasta; great-grandchildren Elijah Gaitan, Leilani Abasta, Mayeli Abasta, Daniella Villasenor, Damien Camacho and Joy Abasta.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus, 226 Herdner Road.
